NCP MP Supriya Sule has introduced a Private Members’ Bill in the Lok Sabha, under which employees working in private companies will be able to get rid of the compulsions of responding to official calls and emails after coming from the office.
This bill has been talked about giving this right to the employees. This bill has been named “Right To Disconnect”. Supriya Sule said the company will not impose more work on employees through this bill. She told that after the introduction of this bill the stress in the staff will be low and the personal life will remain stable.
This bill has just been introduced in the Lok Sabha. Only after approval from the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha will it be able to become Law.
Under this bill, a welfare authority will be set up, where IT, Communications and Labor Ministers will be kept. Under this bill, a charter will also be prepared. Under this charter, Companies which have more than 10 employees, talk to their employees and include what they want in the charter. After this, the report will be created.
Let me tell you that such a bill has been implemented by the French Supreme Court. It started in New York as well and in Germany, it is also going to make a law. That is, if the bill is passed then the employees will be able to cut office calls after work and no action will be taken on this.
However, whatever happens, if the “Right to Disconnect” bill passes the law, then surely it will be a relief for the large population working in private companies.
